The You Cannot Be Serious podcast is on shaky ground after an almighty blow-up between AFL greats Sam Newman and Don Scott has led to Scott quitting the show.
The podcast hosts were involved in a fiery exchange last week when former Geelong star Newman told Scott – a great of the Hawthorn Football Club – to “f*** off”.

Newman’s blow-up happened during an interview with veteran sports writer Ken Piesse. The controversial commentator objected to Scott eating a biscuit and other noise that could be heard when Scott was touching the equipment.
Scott walked out but he returned to the studio on Wednesday (today) to tell Newman it was over.
Newman said he wasn’t surprised Scott was quitting but didn’t understand why Scott turned up to the studio.
“I am a friend of Don’s, yes, nice to know who you are dealing with, though; someone who won’t stand up and face the music if you have a disagreement. (I’m) not sure how that works,” Newman told News Corp.
“Walking away from something shows a complete disregard for any relationship you have had in the past.
“That is just a pathetic act of treachery.”
