AFL great and media personality Sam Newman has poured cold water on a potential new romance.
Newman, who has been married four times, has been spending a lot of time recently with fitness queen Sue Stanley.
But the 77-year-old insists the pair are just friends and nothing more.

Newman has had a chequered love life, but was left shattered after his fourth wife Amanda Brown died suddenly in March, 2021.
The couple had been together for 20 years when Brown, aged 50, died of a cardiac arrest at the couple’s apartment.
Newman has previously opened up on the devastation of losing his life and close friend Shane Warne in the space of 12 months.
But he appears to have found some happiness in spending time with Stanley.
The pair have been seen together at events, including this year’s Sports Australia Hall of Fame function.

“I am very happy to say I am a friend of hers and she is a friend of mine, but that is it,” Newman told News Corp.
“She is a girl friend of mine and that is two separate words: girl friend, not a girlfriend.”
Stanley, 57, was a member of the Australian 1988 Olympics team in what was then a demonstration sport of water skiing, but found her calling in aerobics.
She achieved numerous gold medals throughout her three-year professional career in the early 1990s and later returned to the world stage by being crowned Ms Fitness World Champion in 2000.
She was inducted into the Sports Australia Hall of Fame in 1998 and was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her services to sport in 2020.
“If she has a function to go to and she needs someone to go with her, I go, and vice versa,” Newman said.
“I have been to a few things with her and she has been to a few with me, but that is it.
“We are companions and (the dating rumours) is just not true.
“I am her handbag and that is it.”
Newman played 300 games for Geelong between 1964-1980, but made a name for himself in the media after his career finished.
