Brisbane superstar Lachie Neale keeps his receipts.
And the gun midfielder isn’t afraid to let his AFL expert commentator David King know about it.
Neale, who turned 30 in May, enjoyed one of his best years in the AFL as he won his second Brownlow Medal and the Lions made it all the way to grand final.

In an innocent Instagram post wrapping up his year, Neale shared a series of photos of himself with friends, family and on the footy field.
But one image was a subtle dig at those who doubted him.
It was a screenshot of a tweet from radio station SEN that said Neale was the “284th ranked midfielder.”

Those comments were made by King in August and were in reference to the previous four weeks.
“He’s absolutely right off. His last four weeks, he’s averaged 21 disposals which is 70th in the comp.
“He’s had 18 score involvements, which is 123rd in the comp.
“He’s winning clearances, he’s won 30 clearances but nothing’s coming off them. There’s no damage, there’s no breakaway anymore.
“Over the last four weeks, on the 100x rater – which just compares him per 100 minutes averaged out – he is the 284th ranked midfielder.”
It’s fair to say Neale hasn’t forgot those comments and the post delighted his followers.
“Receipts were kept – Ja Morant and Lachie Neale,” former teammate Mitch Robinson wrote.
“Last slide … brilliant haha,” Channel 7 commentator Abbey Holmes said.
“Lol last slide,” new Kangaroo Zac Fisher said.
Rising golf star Min Woo Lee even chimed in.
“You are probably 283rd come on mate,” he cheekily said.
The comments came ahead of Brisbane’s match against Adelaide in Round 22.
Neale picked up 23 possessions and earned one Brownlow vote against the Crows before topping 30 in the final two rounds of the season and collecting six votes to win his second Brownlow Medal.
